报 告 摘 要

Rogue or freak waves, are unpredictability, “appears from nowhere and disappears without a trace.” This novel scientific term was born in nautical mythology,entered the science of ocean waves and gradually moved into other fields:optics, matter waves, superfluidity, plasmas etc. They are isolated structures with unusually high amplitude. In contrast to the undesirable rogue waves in the ocean, generation of high energy pluses is great useful in modern optics. The knowledge of the mechanisms to create the rogue waves allows us to generate them deterministically. Here we report the rogue waves based on NLS equation and higher order NLS equations.
