个人简介：
男，祖籍河北邢台，1940年生于山西太原。1964年山西大学本科毕业，1984年获美国南卡罗来纳大学物理系博士学位，1986年晋升为教授。1989年当选中国高等科学技术中心特殊成员，1991年获国务院政府津贴，1993年被国务院学位委员会评为博士生导师，1994年当选国家中青年有突出贡献专家。获山西省劳模，优秀专家，科技功臣等荣誉称号，是中央联系的高级专家。担任过教育部高等学校教学指导组成员，山西省物理学会副理事长，山西省政府参事等学术和社会兼职，山西大学物理系主任，院长，理论物理研究所所长职务。已在国际物理期刊上发表SCI收录论文300余篇，学术专著一部，研究成果获山西省科技进步一等奖四项,教育部自然科学二等奖一项。

主要研究方向：量子物理基础理论及应用；低维凝聚态场模型及方法
